Family Planning & Pre-Conception Counselling

We support individuals and couples in planning for a healthy pregnancy. We provide family planning and pre-conception counselling to support individuals and couples in preparing for a healthy pregnancy. These consultations may involve fertility awareness education, menstrual tracking, lifestyle and nutrition advice, and a review of your medical history or existing conditions. We also offer guidance on appropriate supplements such as folic acid and iodine, and perform any necessary pre-pregnancy screenings to give you the best possible start on your journey to parenthood.

If you suspect you may be pregnant, we offer early pregnancy confirmation and counselling in a warm, supportive setting. We’ll provide accurate pregnancy testing, organise initial blood work or an early dating scan, and take the time to understand your needs. Whether the pregnancy is planned or unexpected, we support you with clear information, respectful discussion, and personalised guidance about your next steps.

Routine Antenatal Care

For patients continuing with their pregnancy, we offer comprehensive antenatal care tailored to your unique needs at every stage. Regular antenatal visits help us monitor your health and your baby’s development, manage any pregnancy-related symptoms, and screen for early signs of complications such as gestational diabetes or high blood pressure. These visits also include important education around nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and mental wellness during pregnancy.

We offer regular antenatal check-ups to monitor:

  • Baby’s growth and development

  • Early signs of gestational conditions (e.g. diabetes, pre-eclampsia.

Shared Maternity Care

We are proud to offer shared maternity care in partnership with local public and private hospitals. This model allows you to have most of your pregnancy check-ups with your trusted GP at Ace Doctors, while your care is coordinated seamlessly with your chosen hospital or specialist team. Shared care provides continuity, convenience, and a familiar face throughout your pregnancy journey while remaining connected to your hospital team for delivery and specialist input when needed.

Pregnancy Screenings & Referrals

All recommended antenatal tests and screenings can be coordinated through our clinic, including dating scans, first-trimester screening, NIPT (non-invasive prenatal testing), blood group and antibody screening, iron studies, and glucose tolerance tests. We take care to explain each test and result in a way that’s easy to understand, helping you make informed decisions about your care.

We coordinate all routine pregnancy investigations, including:

  • Dating and anatomy scans

  • NIPT (non-invasive prenatal testing) and first-trimester screening

  • Blood group and antibody testing

  • Glucose tolerance tests and iron studies

Pregnancy Immunisations

During pregnancy, we also offer vaccinations that protect both mother and baby. These include the whooping cough (pertussis) vaccine, recommended from 20 weeks, and the influenza vaccine, which can be safely given at any stage of pregnancy. These vaccinations play a crucial role in reducing the risk of serious illness for both you and your newborn.

Mental health is an essential part of maternal care. We screen for and support women experiencing:

  • Postnatal depression

  • Birth trauma or adjustment difficulties
    Our GPs provide counselling, medication management (if needed), and referrals to psychologists or perinatal mental health specialists.

Postnatal Care & Newborn Support

Following the birth of your baby, we continue to provide postnatal care and newborn support. These visits include physical check-ups for you, breastfeeding and newborn feeding support, mental health assessments, advice on contraception, and immunisation planning for your baby. Our team is here to ensure a smooth and supported transition into your new role as a parent.

After delivery, we continue to care for you and your baby. Postnatal visits include:

  • Physical recovery check-ups

Unplanned Pregnancy Support

For those facing an unplanned pregnancy, our clinic provides confidential, non-judgmental support to help you explore your options. Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTOP)

We provides Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTOP) for eligible women up to 9 weeks gestation. This process includes a thorough consultation and assessment, referral for an ultrasound to confirm gestational age, and provision of safe, approved medications. We offer full follow-up support, including aftercare and mental health check-ins, to ensure your physical and emotional wellbeing are fully supported throughout the process. This includes:

  • Thorough consultation and informed consent
